Stunning beach views greeted me every morning from my room, which really kicked the day off right. The cozy vibe of the hotel added a personal touch that made my stay more enjoyable.
The two twins pushed together made for an uncomfortable sleeping experience, and the bathroom felt a bit dated—missing hooks and lacking basic water glasses. I found some main lights not working, empty deodorant cans under furniture, and the paint jobs needed attention with bare patches showing on walls. The toilet waste bin had rust spots, not exactly what you want in what’s called a deluxe room.

yo, the calder house was sweet! had a comfy room with a lovely sea view. breakfast was delish and the staff were super friendly. can’t be beat if ur planning to hit scafell pike as it’s just a short drive away. def lookin forward to coming back!
only downside was the old furnishings in the room and the lack of hooks in the bathroom. could've used a few more glasses too.
